Quote like a shop, not like an inbox.

PlateDock gives a print shop a page and a widget that price a customer’s actual file against the machines and filament you really have.

Free to set up. No card needed.

Where your customers find you

Your page lives at platedock.com/your-address. The same quoting form can sit inside a website you already run.

A page of your own

Your own address, your logo, your colours and your contact details. Send somebody a link and they can price a part without an account and without emailing you first.

A widget in your own website

One script tag puts the same quoting form inside a page you already have. It works in Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Webflow and anything else that lets you paste HTML, because it is an iframe and not a plugin.

Worth knowing: It is a quoting widget, not a checkout. Orders are taken through PlateDock rather than through your store basket.

Styling you control

Colours, fonts and width are yours to set, and the widget can run full width or sit in a column. We check your choices for contrast and tell you when text will be hard to read, and we never override you: it is your shop.

How the number is worked out

A quote you can defend, because you can see every part of it and change every rate behind it.

The price comes from the file

The model is sliced against the printer you chose and the filament you stock. Filament mass comes from the real toolpath and the spool density you entered, not from the bounding box.

Your rates, not ours

Machine rate per hour, electricity, labour per plate, post-processing, a failure allowance and either a markup or a target margin. Every one of them is yours, and the version in force when a quote was given is stored with the quote.

Multiple parts on one plate

Several files are packed onto plates that fit your bed, and the setup charge is per plate rather than per file, which is what it costs you.

Quotes are kept

Everything a customer asked for is in your dashboard with what they sent and what happened to it, including the ones that could not be priced. An enquiry you cannot answer is still an enquiry worth following up.

Getting paid

Get paid by card

Payments are handled by Stripe. You connect an account from inside your dashboard, Stripe verify who you are, and payouts go to your bank.

Worth knowing: Stripe verification is a legal requirement for receiving payouts, not a PlateDock rule. It usually takes minutes and can take a day.

Your own files stay yours

A customer model is used to produce a quote and nothing else. It is not published, not shown to other makers and not used to train anything.

Set your prices once, then send people a link.

Add a printer, add the filament you keep, and your quote page is live.
